McCarthys delivered a new-build education facility at the Eco Park in Birmingham for The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country. The project created dedicated teaching and learning spaces for the local community within an ecologically sensitive landscape of woodland, wetlands, and meadows.

Works involved the demolition of existing structures and site clearance to make way for the new building, ensuring all activities protected the surrounding wildlife and natural habitats. The completed facility includes a group study room, staff office, and staff room.

Outcomes:

  • Sustainable education facility providing new spaces for community learning and engagement with nature
  • Executed demolition and construction works with minimal environmental impact
  • Enhanced the Eco Park’s role as a hub for environmental awareness and conservation

McCarthys, as the principal contractor, delivered a fantastic EcoPark education centre. They adapted seamlessly to design and client changes, maintained the project within budget, and communicated positively throughout. Their exceptional performance in creating this urban ecological oasis makes us highly recommend them for future projects.
