McCarthys was awarded the rebuild of a 32,000 sq ft commercial warehouse and two-storey internal office suite through competitive tender, following significant fire damage that destroyed approximately 80% of the original structure.
Works involved extensive structural analysis, replacement and realignment of the steel portal frame, and installation of new roof coverings, cladding, windows, doors, and roller shutters. McCarthys also managed the reconnection of M&E services and delivered a full CAT A fit-out of the office accommodation.
Also included the repair and replacement of damaged internal floors, refurbishment of external areas, and new landscaping to restore the site’s operational and visual quality.
McCarthys split the project into two phases to run in parallel, bringing the programme in at 19 weeks fitout over 44,000sqft. We managed the design and fitout as a single point of contact for our client, so we were able to manage the risk and queries register, allowing a smooth and expedited design to construction period.
