McCarthys was appointed to provide full design and build services for a new commercial development, following the acquisition of land in Coventry.
The team worked closely with the client to develop the project brief, secure planning permission, and coordinate all necessary site surveys and building control liaison. Design and development spanned eight weeks, culminating in a comprehensive scope of works, budget cost plan, and programme. McCarthys acted as both principal designer and principal contractor, managing the demolition, site clearance, and subsequent construction of new commercial units.
The scheme included installation of drainage, power and water connections, and associated external works. The completed building comprises a traditional steel-frame and clad structure, divided into two sub-let units with separate entrances, providing flexible space for future tenants.
